For the expert team already on your desktop

Add source-backed research to WorkBuddy's expert bench

WorkBuddy coordinates a bench of AI experts across research, documents, data, and design — on desktop, in WeChat and WeCom, or from a mini program. Felo skills give those experts something they cannot generate from the prompt alone: current web evidence, page-level sources, and a deck that cites them.

Why Felo skills

WorkBuddy runs the team. Felo supplies the evidence.

WorkBuddy's pitch is delegation: give it a goal and a bench of 100+ domain experts plans the work, runs it in parallel, and hands back a deliverable. That covers a lot of ground — market research reports, generated decks, data analysis, content production.

The gap shows up when a task depends on facts that change weekly. A competitor's pricing page, a new policy document, a supplier's lead time, a trending complaint pattern. Without a live source, the expert writes confidently from stale training data and leaves you to verify every number.

Felo skills plug into that gap as importable skill packages. The expert keeps owning the plan and the deliverable; the skill owns retrieval, page extraction, and source notes. That combination is what makes a generated report safe to forward.

The fit

Three WorkBuddy traits that make external skills worth it

These are the platform behaviors to design around — not generic automation claims.

Selection

Expert routing picks the skill

When a task mentions a market study, an operations expert takes it. A skill with a clear description and trigger conditions gets selected at the right moment; a vague one sits unused.

Sync

Skills are user-level, not device-level

Enable or disable state is stored in your account configuration and syncs across devices, so a reviewed skill follows you from the desktop app to the phone.

Handoff

Deliverables leave the app

Reports and decks move into WeChat, WeCom, or a document editor. Citations and source lists have to survive that handoff, or nobody can check the numbers.

Skill picks

Five Felo skills for WorkBuddy's research and reporting flows

Install search first, then the output and image skills. Each pick is a folder shaped for WorkBuddy's local skill import.

Felo Search

Current market evidence
ResearchSources

Turns a research request into dated findings with source links, which is the difference between a report you can send and one you have to fact-check line by line.

Example askResearch how the three leading competitors in this category price their plans in 2026, and list the source and date for every point.
Open the Felo Search page →

Felo Slides

Presentation delivery
OutputDeck

The research is already in the conversation. This turns it into a deck with one claim per slide, which is what actually gets forwarded in WeChat and WeCom.

Example askTurn the research we just finished into an eight-slide deck for the weekly review, one conclusion per slide.
Open the Felo Slides page →

Felo SuperAgent

Logos and product images
ImagesBrand

WorkBuddy tasks often end in a picture: a brand logo, a product shot, a campaign visual. SuperAgent generates and iterates those images inside the same task.

Example askDraft three logo directions in our brand colours, plus one clean product hero image.
Open the Felo SuperAgent page →

Felo X Search

Customer voices on X
SignalsSocial

Complaints and praise reach X before they reach a support inbox. This reads posts and replies, which makes it a natural fit for a weekly sentiment task.

Example askCollect this week's posts that mention our brand, group them by complaint type, and give me the links.
Open the Felo X Search page →
VideoTranscript

Customer reviews and industry sessions arrive as video links. Transcripts turn them into text the task can quote or file away.

Example askPull the transcript from this industry talk and list the points that contradict our current market read.

In practice

Four WorkBuddy tasks that improve with live sources

Written the way the request actually gets typed into the task box.

01

Competitor research report plus a deck

A one-person company needs a market overview before a partner meeting. The desk research has to be current, and the output has to be presentable.

PromptResearch the leading players, pricing, and channel playbook in this category, then produce a report and a deck.
What lands back

A report where each claim carries a source, plus a slide draft generated from the same material.

Felo SearchFelo Slides
02

Voice-of-customer analysis with external context

Support logs sit in a spreadsheet, but explaining why complaints spiked needs an external event: a policy change, an outage, a competitor promotion.

PromptAnalyse this batch of user feedback against recent public events to explain the spike in complaints, then propose fixes.
What lands back

A themed analysis that separates internal patterns from external triggers, with links for the external facts.

Felo SearchFelo X Search
03

A weekly brief that does not repeat itself

The same digest gets requested every week, and last week's sources should not be searched again from scratch.

PromptUpdate last week's industry brief with this week's policy changes and competitor moves.
What lands back

An updated brief with new items marked and older sources kept in the knowledge base.

Felo SearchFelo Slides
04

Turn a long document into a meeting deck

A 40-page report landed in the task and the meeting is in an hour.

PromptCompress this report into ten slides that lead with the conclusions and the risks.
What lands back

A slide draft that keeps the report's data points and source notes attached.

Adoption path

How WorkBuddy teams start

WorkBuddy spreads a job across experts, so the sequence is: import one skill, prove it on a real task, then attach it to the experts that repeat.

Import the research skill

Install the Felo CLI, store the key, then upload the skill package through the Skills panel.

  • Install the CLI once and set FELO_API_KEY
  • Upload the felo-search package
  • Read the permission list before you confirm

Run the first sourced task

Give the expert team a task where the answer has to be defensible.

  • Ask for a report with sources and dates
  • Keep the source list with the deliverable
  • Check what the task cost before you scale it

Attach it to the experts that repeat

Skills can be switched off without uninstalling, so keep the list short per expert.

  • Enable only the skills a task needs
  • Turn the weekly version into a repeating task
  • Add the image skill when the deliverable needs visuals
Install

Package the skill, import it, turn it on

WorkBuddy installs skills from a local package or from its own market. For third-party bundles such as Felo's, the local import path is the one you control.

  1. 01

    Get the Felo skill files

Clone the repository and pick the folders you want. Each one contains a SKILL.md and its supporting scripts.

    Terminal
    git clone https://github.com/Felo-Inc/felo-skills.git
  2. 02

Store the Felo API key once

Install the Felo CLI and save the key to your user config. Skills read it from there, so it does not travel inside the package you import.

    Terminal
    npm install -g felo-ai
    felo config set FELO_API_KEY your-api-key-here
  3. 03

Import through Skills → Add skill → Upload skill

Open the Skills section of WorkBuddy, choose to add a skill, and upload the Felo skill package. The app completes the configuration after import.

    Inside WorkBuddy
Skills → Add skill → Upload skill
      → select the felo-search package
      → confirm permissions

Read the permission list before you confirm. A research skill needs network access; it does not need file deletion or messaging permissions.

  4. 04

Enable only what the task needs

Imported skills can be switched off without uninstalling. Keep the list short so the expert team does not call the wrong tool, and enable the rest when a task asks for them.

    Ask WorkBuddy
Use felo-search to check the last three months of policy changes
in this industry, with sources and dates, then draft a one-page summary.
Questions

WorkBuddy skill imports, answered

How do I add a third-party skill to WorkBuddy?
Open the Skills panel, choose Add skill, and either upload a local skill package or let WorkBuddy find or create one for the task. Uploaded packages are configured automatically after import.
Does the enable state follow me to another device?
Yes. WorkBuddy stores skill enable and disable state in your user configuration and syncs it across devices. Disabling a skill does not modify its SKILL.md or remove the files.
Will a research skill cost more credits?
Complex tasks and heavier skills consume more credits; WorkBuddy notes this in its skill documentation. A search-plus-fetch pass is cheaper than a full multi-source investigation, so start narrow.
Is it safe to import a skill from GitHub?
Only after you review it. WorkBuddy's own guidance is to check the source, the requested permissions, and the scripts before installing any non-official skill. The Felo bundles are readable Markdown plus small scripts, so the review is quick.
Can Felo skills write files or send messages?
The research skills return text and links; they do not message your contacts. WorkBuddy skills in general can be granted broader permissions, which is exactly why you should install only bundles whose permission list matches their job.
Where do I get support if a skill fails mid-task?
Start with the Felo skills repository issues for the skill itself, and WorkBuddy's own feedback channel for import, permission, or credit problems in the app.

Make the next report one you can forward

Import the research pair, run your next market question through WorkBuddy, and check how many claims come back with sources attached.
